Casmiro Drive

This project was designed to transform a steep hillside into a functional and visually appealing outdoor destination. A flagstone walkway leads visitors up the slope, guiding them to a retaining wall patio built into the grade. The patio surface was finished in decorative stone rather than traditional pavers, creating a more natural appearance that integrates seamlessly with the hillside setting. From the patio, views extend outward across a pond, turning the space into a scenic overlook as well as a gathering area.

The planting design surrounds and softens the stonework, using a Traditional Color-Rich Garden palette of ornamental trees, hydrangeas, roses, ornamental grasses, and perennials. These selections provide layered height, seasonal color, and year-round texture, ensuring the space feels alive in every season. By combining structural stonework with lush planting, this installation achieves both practical slope management and aesthetic value, offering a durable outdoor feature that feels naturally rooted in its environment.
