Maize Drive
This project features a comprehensive landscape design that blends functional stormwater management with aesthetic detail. A flagstone patio was installed to extend the living space from the existing covered back patio, creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor areas. Flagstone walkways wind through the landscape beds, providing access and circulation while complementing the natural stone elements.
A key feature of this design is the rain chain connected to a dry stream bed, which effectively redirects roof water runoff away from the house. The stream bed doubles as a design element, framed by landscape boulders that provide structure, texture, and focal points throughout the planting beds.
The plant palette includes a wide mix of ornamental plants, flowering trees, perennials, and ornamental grasses, offering seasonal interest, layered texture, and year-round appeal. To complete the design, screening trees were added along the sides and back of the property, creating privacy and enclosure while framing the overall composition. The result is a landscape that is as practical as it is refined, combining stone, water management, and planting design into one cohesive outdoor environment.
